SunTec participates in TM Forum's Telecom Applications Map (TAM)
Trivandrum, India : SunTec Business Solutions today announced that it will be participating in the Telecom Applications Map project done under the TeleManagement Forums initiative along with some of the telecom industry leaders like BT, QinetiQ, Teliasonera, Sprint, Metasolv, Sun Microsystems, Nextel Communications, and Vodafone.
The Telecom Applications Map document is intended as a working guide to help telecom operators and suppliers use a common reference language to navigate a complex OSS/BSS systems landscape across the entire telecom value chain. This is a key initiative taken by the forum to standardise various back-end applications used by voice, data and video service providers. It extends TM Forums evolutionary NGOSS framework onto applications layer also over the currently available eTOM and SID standards applicable to business processes and information used in the telecom industry.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Nanda Kumar, President and CEO of SunTec lauded the efforts of TM Forum in putting forward uniform design standards for various OSS/BSS components.
