SunTec Dedicates Christmas Month for Community Involvement
Trivandrum December 23, 2008 - In keeping with the Christmas sprit of sharing and giving, the employees of Trivandrum-based SunTec Business Solutions have decided to dedicate themselves for socially relevant causes during the month of December.
As part of this initiative, the staff members of SunTec have come together to form SunTec Community Involvement Club (SCIC), which will henceforth spearhead the company’s corporate social responsibility activities. The club has taken up the cause of child health and education as its primary objective and intends to pool in efforts from all its members to provide better facilities for the underprivileged children of the city.
Having designated December as SunTec’s Community Involvement Month, the club has been organizing several get-togethers in governmental and non-governmental institutions that work in the child health and education sectors, with maximum participation from SunTec employees and children.
The club members have organized joyous Christmas celebrations, complete with cakes, carols, gifts, merriment -- and of course, Santa Claus – at various orphanages and destitute homes in the city. They also visited the Pediatric Ward of the RCC and celebrated Christmas with the children.
SunTecians also celebrated Christmas within the company on Dec 22 and 23, 2008. During these celebrations the company organized an exhibition of handicrafts, candles, and other handmade items by underprivileged people under the aegis of a Non-Governmental Organization Navoothan Foundation.
